Meditation

Over the last couple months of lockdown, finding peace away from what has been going on around me has been my main focus. Why wait until chaos starts happening to find my peace? Good question but I found it none the less.

Once thing I've learnt about meditation is that not only does it help you release unwanted emotions but it also helps you enjoy the good ones. Previously I would think me being upset or annoyed wasn't healthy for me to feel because I've always tried to be overly nice to others without recognising how much I was hurting myself, now meditating it has helped me realise that you can't be nice to people who are bad to you but what you are capable of doing is being kind, thoughtful and compassionate.

Meditation helps you set boundaries between what is appropriate and what is not. It's not about sitting in one spot. What are you doing when your in that space, how do you interact with the feelings you are feeling and do you understand that there are many others like you that are feeling the same way that you are.

Meditation isn't just for you to escape but it's freedom.
